When Cronus came to power he imprisoned the Cyclopes in Tartarus. They were released by Zeus and fought with him against the Titans. Polyphemus, (son of Poseidon), is the most popular Cyclops. He fighted with Odysseus that came out victorious, and left Polyphemus, blinded.
RELATIONSHIPS
The Cyclops were the primordial sons of Uranus (Sky) and Gaia (Earth), there were three of them: Brontes (thunderer), Steropes (Lightener), and Arges (Bright).Hesiod described them as three brothers who were primordial giants. Polyphemus, (son of Poseidon), is the most popular cyclops. He fighted with Odysseus that came out victorious, and left Polyphemus, blinded. Apollo killed the Cyclops after they struck his son Asclepius with lightning.
APPEARANCE OF THE HERO
These Cyclopes also created Poseidon's trident, Artemis's bow and arrows of moonlight, Apollo's bow and arrows of sun rays, and Hades's helmet of darkness that was given to Perseus on his quest to kill Medusa.
EVOLUTION
Theses days Cyclops has been used and referenced in many different ways. A very large wave found in Western Australia is called Cyclops, given the waves monstrous size and 'one eye'. The term Cyclone, used to describe a large tropical storm may relate back to the greek god, in relation to its eye of the storm. Lightning and thunder were cyclops brothers, Brontes and Steropes. Cyclops is also an Australian brand of bikes.

Great answers but you need to list sports that you could associate with Cyclops. Maybe activities that use brute force, like weight lifting etc ...
